Anyone know a good pointer trainer in the UT or ID or area? I am thinking about sending my pointer out. Thanks

I've heard very good things about Dave Walker in Idaho. I know Rodney (3Britts) has sent his dogs there. http://www.davewalkerdogs.com

There is also this one, but I cannot vouch for them one way or another. I was sent to their site for the purposes of their upland hunting and saw that they do training as well. http://www.hickenschickens.com

I have heard decent things about this one, but can't give any information from personal experience. http://www.covemountainkennels.com/

I hope this will at least give you a starting point.

First you need to decide what you are going to be doing with it. Hunt test, field trial off horse, foot, NSTRA, NAVHDA or just a good hunting dog.
Then seek out a trainer that has proven he can train a dog to the level you want.
Let me know your plans with him and I'll point you in the right direction.
