New research on neutering;
Without wishing to get contentious, the below extensive article from Psychology Today by a dog writer with credentials is worth reading. For those of a more scientific bent, there is a link to the study at the bottom.
The article does not address hip dysplasia or orthopedic problems, which other studies link to early neutering, but rather to behavioral problems.
Unfortunately, this topic tends to lead some people to state their inflexible opinions, which are frequently out-of-date and influenced in some instances by animal-rights people, their vets , uninformed "rescue" people or the media. As additional genuine studies are done, they may wish to consider and re-evaluation... but I'm sure they won't.
