Canine vasectomy vets in Indiana?

Does anybody here know of any such animal docs in Hoosier State that perform this canine snipping that is often done on men for contraception?

I had this done in on my male Lab in 2000 outside of Boise, ID. I had to get a referral to a specialist because many a vet in town didn't do this.

It was about $200 for this procedure then. My male Lab would mate with my Lab bitch but there was never any worry about unwanted litters. My bitch was left intact and came into season like clockwork.

This method retains hormones as well as a good cosmetic appearance better overall dog looks. Male dogs look better whole and sex hormones keep them fit and trim.

It is simpler than tubal ligation on females as has minimal surgical invasiveness.

How many hours drive from Fort Wayne?

Can you provide documentation with the word ALTERED on it as well for a vasectomy on a dog?
This is so I can get the cheap dog licence rate ($10 annually as opposed to the $100 unaltered rate) in Indiana.

Allen County, Indiana really tries to sock it to dog owners who want their males to keep their balls....
I don't know if they sock it to us for our dogs to keep their Frisbees as well.

I don't really believe you are a vet (as in animal doctor). I wouldn't even bring my laboratory guinea pigs to you if I owned some, let alone any beloved dogs of mine.
If you are "practicing" under the guise as a veterinarian, I would be inclined to believe you are a quack by the things you post here. Your posting shows
lack of professional demeanor for someone who would practice serious veterinary medicine. I have emailed a local veterinary clinic in Fort Wayne to ask
the same question I asked here. I hope to get an honest and serious answer. May the Bears, White Sox and Cubs never go to the playoffs ever again, Dr.
Fake Vet from Illinois!

Well, that was a surprising response! I can show you my license, or a picture of my clinic with my name on it, or a whole littany of things to prove it to you, but it doesnt sound like you would believe me anyway   :) :) . I hope you find a "real vet" to help you out. Im surprised more people dont ask for that procedure, just for the reasons you stated. Good luck to you.
And Im a St. Louis Cardinal fan, so I hope the Cubs never hit the playoffs again too!!

Good reply Dog Dr. I'm sure the irony is not missed. Jon is the last person who should accuse someone of not knowing what they are talking about. If there is a real quack here all he has to do is look at himself

I guess I was wrong about Jon. Maybe he don't have as much right to post on here as anybody else. He probably should get the boot. What possible reason could there be for a post like his last one. Maybe he needs an imaginary vet for his imaginary dog...….Cj

Jon finally stepped over the line and got the boot. I for one am extremely happy with the Mods decision. Jon added absolutely no value to this site. I just hope he doesn't show up on a couple other hunting/dog forums I'm on or re-appears here under a new name.
