New FDA Alert on Flea and Tick Products

Post by Warrior372 » Wed Sep 26, 2018 5:26 pm

I am not trying to start a debate, but rather just share an info update from the FDA. The FDA is working with manufacturers of isoxazoline products to include new label information to highlight neurologic adverse events because these events were seen consistently across the isoxazoline class of products. The isoxazolines approved are Afoxolaner - in Nexgard, Nexgard Spectra, Fluralaner - in Bravecto Oral Chews and Topical, Sarolaner - in Simparica and Zoetis, and Lotilaner - in Credelio and Elanco. There are several articles on the internet highlighting the FDA findings. Here is a link to the FDA article - https://www.fda.gov/AnimalVeterinary/Ne ... 620934.htm
