I have a Brittany who will be 4 in June. Last spring out of nowhere he started to get watery eyes and in the mornings there is a mucas coming out of them. I asked my vet and she said seasonal allergies, but it is not seasonal, it never stopped. I feed him Purina pro plan, I was going to try and switch up the food. Any suggestions?

I rinse my dogs eyes with a saline solution after every run. You'd be amazed what they pick up in their eyes. Remember to rinse under the 3 rd eyelid too.

We had a setter that had watery, mucous-y eyes most of his life. I think it started when he was around 3. Our vet said it was sensitivity to something, sort of an allergy. He'd been on several foods over his lifetime, no change in the discharge. No big deal unless it turns thick and green or yellow.
