vaginal discharge
My 2y/o GSP, spayed at 6months. recently has been having excessive vaginal discharge..i notice after she pees she may have a long stringy discharge (whitish, yellow, cloudy color). She has always had had a little here and there. I took her to the vet as a pup because of this, actually smaller amounts and he said it was probably hormones but this is he most i have seen. She is eating well and doesn't seem to be in pain or discomfort. Any ideas before i take her to the vet?

Re: vaginal discharge
Ah, the dreaded vaginal discharge.
I'm not a vet but sounds like an antibiotic is needed to me.... bacterial infection(UTI) common in bitches as their privates hit the ground when peeing.

Re: vaginal discharge
Been giving her flubac (Mexican penicillin) every 6hrs. Living near the border has its benefits, $11 dollars for 50ml. Infection is clearing up and had a good morning hunt today.
