Sore on puppy foot

Post by gspmo1 » Sun May 12, 2013 11:44 am

I have a 6 month old lab puppy. She has developed a little cut/sore on one of her toes. I think the problem is her outside toe is a little shorter, causing that toe nail to rub/cut the next toe. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem or give some info on how to heal it up. I hope maybe she'll grow out of it...

Round the toe nail with an emery board.

My oldest shorthair will get that between the 2 outside toes on her front, when we've been on long hunting outings. I just put triple antibiotic on it, for healing and lubrication, and do like Reba says.
