Eye Goo?

Post by mydoghasfleas » Fri Apr 12, 2013 9:08 pm

Noticing lots of eye secretion in the past few weeks. And past week or so it has been dark not clear and at both ends of his eyes. Its viscous and sticky and I'm wondering if it sounds like potential allergies? or something that maybe else...

In our guys allergies are accompanied by red eyes and the secretions are clear. To me this would suggest an infection: you may want to have the vet take a look. BOTH our guys recently came down with conjunctivitis and are on antibiotic eye ointment & benadryl.

Flush the eyes and check under the lower lid. Many dogs have a loose lower lid and they catch a lot of debris when running in the field.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
