Heat or "In Season" cycles

hi all, new user here on the site,

I haven't had a female dog for quite some time, and needed to have you help me out.

I bought her in March 04 from owners that said they were sure she was in cycle or heat over Christmas 03.

With that info, can you tell me when I might expect her to go into breeding season again?

It can vary quite a bit but roughly you can expect a heat every six to nine months. Young bitches fairly frequently will have a virtually asymptomatic (silent) with some regularity so you can miss them which of course will through your predictive calendar out the window but on the whole six to nine months with seven months being close to the average.
