Post by dugger13 » Fri May 09, 2008 2:27 pm

It is pretty cheap at lcsupply.com and i am wondering if it is any good. I currently use K9 advantix and this is alot cheaper. But do you get what you pay for?

anyone use it.

That's scary! Sounds like there are problems with most flea/tick treatments. What ya gonna do? :(

No horror stories here, just didn't do the job on my dogs. Perhaps because they spend so much water time?

I used Bio-spot for years on my older dog. Didn't have any health issues that I'm aware of. It wasn't waterproof and have since changed to Frontline which not only seems to work better, but is supposed to be waterproof.

The dog I used it on just hung her head nearly on the floor for 5 minuites before she colapsed and started shaking. I washed it off best i could while her layed on her side in the tub. She wasn't the same for a week afterwards. I can't believe that LCS still sells the stuff.

I have used it for years with no problems at all on many dogs. Still use it but they dont do water work. I also spray my yard with a product called bug be gone by Ortho I think. Keeps mosquitoes fleas and I think ticks away. Use 3 bottles to do about 3 acres. Time to spray again, usually every month all summer.

Used it for a few years now and will occasionally switch up to Frontline. No problems with Fleas or ticks or other side affects.

The ticks up here have been completely ignoring the K9 Advantix so far this year. I have been using it for years and every time I have tried to switch I get skin problems. Thank god for short hair with no undercoat. They are real easy to see which helps. Not sure if it is still killing them but it sure isn't repelling them less than 2 weeks after applying it.
