FWIW, Ringworm Home Remedy

Post by markerdown » Wed Jan 13, 2010 1:36 pm

My male GSP came down with it after a trip to our Banfield Pet hospital for a check-up. I was just livid!

Ringworm can be transmitted by direct contact with an infected animal, or contact with an item that is contaminated with the spores. The spore can be on infected grooming equipment or brushes, in a contaminated boarding facility or kennel, or in the environment where an infected animal has visited.

Yup it's a fungus, so I went to my local wally world and bought a spray can of Tinactin. Cleared it right up in a week or so, just like it does for athletes foot. Once in the morning and once at night. The treatment application on the can also states "ringworm".

The can was less than 5 bucks. I could only imagine what the vet perscription would have cost me. ...............markerdown

Does any products help with regrowing hair from the ringworm or will it come back naturally.
