heat cycle?

My bitch who is 2 years next month finally came into season, but after 7 days she appears to have stopped.

Never had that before.

It's her first heat.

Her first heat. Hmm i think mine only lasted week also. I would wait and see the next heat if it is short again take her to a vet.

I would have here checked out by a Vet.... Send QC an email and see if he has some advice on it. Most the dogs I have seen on the first cycle are full blown cycles...... Also 2 years old and first cycle......

Who's QC?

She was on prednisone (sp?) as a pup for growing pain.

Latest I've had for 1st season and also find first seasons are more often drawn out than not.

It doesn't bother me, just thought it odd.


Will be interesting to see when she comes in again and how long that lasts.
