Big list there to choose from. My 20 gauge is a Beretta Urika 391 and till I got that one the tool of use was a 12 gauge Remington 870 light contour.

Of the choices off of the poll I chose Remington. Can't beat em at all.

RIght now I have 3 shotguns & will start with my most recent purchase:

HK (Fabarm) Silver Lion 12 ga O/U, bought it last August & it was my first O/U. I have owned a couple of HK pistols & have been real please with the company on a pistol repair. HK stopped carrying the Fabarm shotguns & I got a good deal on it new. Well built gun & I think the fit & finish is great. Plus HK USA will be handling the liftetime warranty. Only issue I have is that my top ejector did not work right out of the box. But it was repaired by HK after quail season.

Remington 1187 12 ga, I have owned it some time & never had an issue with it. I only wish it was a LH model. To be honest don't see it getting much use, as I really love shooting the HK. I still bring it along as a back up, but I haven't shot it in a while.

Mossberg 5500? Semi-auto, bought it new back in 1988 I think. I used it for many years & prefer it over my 1187. Shooting lefthanded it was easier to work the thumb saftey vs the button trigger gaurd saftey of the 1187. Of course it is not built anywhere close to the 1187 in the looks dept, but it has gotten the job done for many years, with no problems. I cut the stock down & my 14 y.o son has used it the last 2 years.

I have a Winchester 1200 in 12ga, a Savage 440 o/u in 12 ga, a Winchester 140 Ranger in 20 mga, and a Baikal IZH-27 in 20 ga. I love all of my shotguns, but the Baikal is my hands down favorite go to gun. I use it for dove, quail and ducks. My 20ga. Baikal kills just as well as my 12 gauges. Thats why I use it instead of those 12's. :D :D :D

My Windhester 140 is a little forearm heavy so I don't like to hunt with it. I love to shoot it on the claybird range, though!

Oh, gosh:

12 ga Remington 1100 magnum. 28" Baker barrel with choke tubes. Also has a factory 26" skeet barrel with tubes. It's restocked with composite "wood".

20 ga Remington 1100 Full-weight skeet. It's a 20 ga built on a 12 ga frame. It has a 26" skeet barrel and is 100% original.

28 ga Remington 1100 Special Sporting with 27" barrel and choke tubes. Two stocks. One is the original factory, the other is a factory that I had cut to fit my kids.

12 ga Beretta 682 O/U. Not the 682 E, the original 682. I have a full set (20, 28, 410) of Briley tubes. It and the 20 ga tubes are ported by Angle Port. I had an adjustable stock installed. It's got a recoil reducer in the stock also to put a little weight in the back. I have 28" barrels and keep looking for a set of 30's. I shoot my dad's K-80 with 30" like a house afire and love the extra sight plane.

It's my serviceable breakopen. The others are collectors. Here is a picture of it while I was gunning for Brenda at the Darby's Easter Hunt Test.

For the last year and a half a Ruger Red Label O/U 12 ga. Before that a Mossberg 12 ga pump. Also have a 410 and a 20 gauge single shot that I used to shoot as a kid, saving them for the day my kids get a little older and are ready to go with me :D

BSS, 20 Gauge, English stock. I had the semi beaver tailed forearm shaved down to a schnable splinter style forearm. It really enhanced the lines of the gun. For Ruff Grouse, woodcock, early season Sharptails.

SKB / Ithica 12 gauge S X S for ducks and Geese and Sharptails

Browning Citori 28 Ga for preserve birds

Update to the list in addition to the Nova I had when this poll started.

Remington 870 12 guage
CZ 712 (12 guage)
CZ Woodcock 20 guage

Of all those guns I am most impressed by the CZ 712, a very nice semi auto for the price. I still haven't figured out the nuances of the 20 guage o/u.

use for what?

for Sporting Clays I use two Beretta 680's, a model which has not been made for a couple of decades.

for bird hunting i use, depending on conditions, birds, my mood, either a Ber. 390, or a Franchi 500, or a Browning 16 O/U or a Ber. 20 O/U, or a Gamba 28 s x s. For ducks and geese an Ithaca Mag-10. For some specialized hunt/shoots I use a Rem. 1100.

For a bear protection gun in AK I use a Rem. 870, customized to carry while fishing, cause the danged thing will always work no matter what you put in it, put it in, or do to it.

all of them are shooters, not toys. well, ok, they are shooters and they are toys.

I have a 12 guage and 20 guage Fausti Stefano O/U. I can also swap my 20 guage barrels out for 410 barrels. Both are great guns and very reliable. I use them both for my upland hunting depneding on what I am chasing decides which goes out.
I also have a Remington 870 Express which has been a work horse for me for ever and still sees a lot of action waterfowling and turkey hunting.
