best ammo for 10/22

i just got a scope put on my ruger 10/22 and sighted it in on saturday and i was wondering what you guys though the best ammo for the 10/22 was. I have a ton of PMC predators from my dad but havn't realy seen how well they shoot yet. the remington thunder bolts shot well but i'm looking for something better for hunting, any comments ?

I don't know what you’re hunting so I can't make any recommendations. I know both of my 10/22's like the Federal bulk pack ammo. It works well for jackrabbits.

I prefer CCI stingers, they are a hyper velocity hollowpoint that performs 10 types of heck on squirrels.

I use the stingers too, seems to work fine on nutria and rabbits.

ya i was lokking at using it for rabbits ground hods etc i've heard the stingers where good but that the maxi mags might be better for 10/22's??

I use a 10/22 also, never used the maxi mags before. But never had any problems with the CCI.

CCIs here too. Mine will shoot just about anything well enough to hit a cottontail, though. Pretty indestructible little gun.

The mini-mags and maxi-mags are not hollowpoints are they?
