Benelli Shotgun

Hi everyone. I recently picked up the new Benelli Super Sport shotgun at Cabelas and fell in love with how it felt. It fit great and was pretty light. Has any one had any experience with this gun. Just curious how much kick it has since it is so light.

Recoil, when considered as rearward velocity of a gun upon shot, can be determined by a formula of physics. All other things equal, the lighter the gun, the more recoil.

The only real exception is if you're comparing two guns that have different actions. A gas-operated semiautomatic allows the rearward velocity to be spread out over a longer period of time (we're talking milliseconds), which can reduce felt recoil.

The other things you can control that affect recoil are contained within your ammunition. Weight of the ejecta (shot + wad); and muzzle velocity. The higher the velocity of the load, and the more the ejecta weighs, the more recoil you will experience.

Hope that helps!

(Bottom line, just go shoot the gun and make your evaluation.)

I have a M2 and I just love it. Iam now looking at the ULTRA LITE, its a 12 ga. built on a 20ga frame. It is 6 lbs. Think its about 1,200.00--Sonny

Nice choice, I would rather go in debt for good gun than pay for cheaper
less functional weapon.
