Ithaca SKB model 500

Post by emmagator » Wed Dec 06, 2023 5:25 pm

SKB couldn’t provide much info on this gun. They referred to it as a Crown Field version from 70’s-80’s. Serial number CF 565929. Anyone familiar with this model? Inherited from my dad.

You have a really fine gun. It is likely from the late 70's was one of their top-of- the- line guns. It is worth a good bit too.

I like it. Handles well. Sounds like I can take the forearm off and determine what chokes it has. They’re fixed.

I had one exactly like it that I bought used back in the mid 70's. It was a beautiful gun with 30" barrels choked Mod/Full. The gun seemed to fit me fine but I just could not hit the "broadside of a barn" with it and sold it a number of years later. I think I paid somewhere around $300 for it at the time.
