New CZ O/U

Post by Buckeye_V » Tue Jan 02, 2007 1:42 pm

The day after Christmas I went into the Wheeling Cabelas to get a new hunting coat. I picked up a sales flyer and saw that the O/U I had been looking at was marked down another 100.00. Soooooo..... Merry Christmas to me!

I bought the 12 guage Greenhead model. It is the same thing as the Canvasback, but us made specifically for Cabelas by CZ. It has:

28" barrels
Single Trigger
Barrel Selector
5 chokes
Ejectors

I shot over 175 rounds through it this past weekend at a sporting clays course and a small hunt. I LOVE IT!
We have done something with nothing for so long we are now qualified to do everything with anything....

I'll get one for you all. It has character now, as I had to drop it to make a correction on the dog.

The only problem is that I now have to get one for the wife. She shot for the first time this past weekend and enjoyed herself and did well for her first time. She broke 1/4 of her targets. The best part was I did not say a word. Just encouragement.

Congrats! Sounds like a nice firearm. I'm in the opposite boat though... I gotta get one for the wife before I can have another for me. :D

CZ makes very good rifles too. I bought a 452 Varmint in .22lr a couple of years ago, and with only a few minor tweaks shoots amazingly tight groups for a factory gun.

I've had my eye on the CZ o/u's too, just love those doubles! You mind telling what your final sale price was?

It stickered at 749.00. I got it for 649.00. If you are a member of Cabela's club or have a credit card with Cabelas's, they offered even more deals. I thought it was a good enough deal and bit. I feel no shame!
