Franchi Affinity

Post by jwnissen » Thu Jul 10, 2014 3:30 pm

SoI have been in the market for a new shotgun and have another post with lots of input. It came down to the Benelli M2 20 ga if I can get 1400 together and I was looking for another cheaper auto for around the 800 mark. Stumbled across the affinity and I really like the way it feels. It is very similar to the M2. I have read a lot of good reviews on this gun and was looking to see if anyone on here has this gun or knows someone who has one. It sounds like they are made in the Benelli plant and 700 is much better than 1400. tell me how you like it? Has anyone had any problems with it?. How many rounds through it? Basically any and all input.

Thanks

My wife didn't like hers. It kicked more than a semi-auto should. Now for our semi-autos we both shoot Berettas.

I had my 20g for 2 seasons. Love it so far. I like the weight and it feels very natural, easy to sight point. Well worth the price.

I tried the affinity and was kind of hi-hum about it. I tried a buddies Beretta a400 xplor 20ga and like it a lot better, ordered one last week and am currently waiting on delivery. Of course you are back up in the $1300-$1400 range again.

I have had a 12Ga for two years and like it a lot. I did shoot a Franchi 612 for the last 12 or so years. I have not had any trouble with it. I have shot my father in-laws SBE2 quite a bit also and like that but couldn't justify twice the price for a gun I use hunting. I also have a Benelli M1 20ga that I bought used about 5 years ago that I like but that is rather light and I notice the kick with that gun when shooting trap.

I have used a m1 super 90 20 ga. for years. I love it. The Affinity is just a cheaper version of the Benelli. For the money you probably can't go wrong. I had a Franchi AL48 too and it was a good field gun with little value. I am a Benelli fan. I would buy another M1 if I could find one for the right price..

So an update... I LOVE this gun!!! it shoots nice and is extremely lightweight. I need to change the shims a little, but other than that, A great purchase.
