Escort Shotguns?

Post by jimbo&rooster » Sun Aug 21, 2011 8:37 pm

I am considering a new scattergun strictly for shotgunning coyotes. I am currently looking at picking up a 24in Benneli Nova or a 20-24in Mossberg 835.
However I was at Gander Mtn and they had an Escort shogun on the rack deffinately no Benneli but for a cheap semi auto shotgun with a 24in BBL I was wondering if anyone had any experience wih them.

Jim
A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.

An Ithaca Deer Slayer would be a great gun for coyotes. You can find excellent used ones for a couple hundred bucks. Really well made pumps.

I looked at one awhile back for my wife that was either a Traditions or Escort, can't remember which, that had a 24" barrel and then a 4" screw on extension and had 5 chokes that fit in either the barrel or the extension. I believe it was around $300. Forgot to add it was a semi auto.

Jimbo, I bought my thirteen year old the youth model a couple of months ago. He probably has three hundred rounds through it without any malfunctions. He loves it. Seems well made to me for three hundred bucks, I'm happy.......How is Gator?
