Stock replacement for youth O/U
Stock replacement for youth O/U
I want to get a good O/U 20 gauge for my son. He's ten so we will have to cut the stock down. When he gets older I'd like to have a full size replacement for the one we cut down. Any manuf. better as far as avail of replacement wood? Any thoughts or recomendations appreciated.

Just a thought: Why not replace the original stock with a custom fit stock. Then, when your son grows, you can put the original stock back on the gun and it was never cut.

I bought my kids a 28 ga Remington 1100 Special Sporting. The factory wood was beautiful, so I ordered a normal 1100 stock for it and had it cut to fit.
That works if the current wood is nice.
If the current wood is so-so, go ahead and cut it down and then worry about where to get nice wood at a later date.
Best regards,
