Verona SxS

Post by mrcreole » Mon Jan 10, 2011 12:12 pm

I saw and handled a Verona 20ga. sxs this weekend. It felt and looked good. Price was $1100 in what looks like un-used condition. It is listed as used. Do any of you have any experience with this shotgun? Is the price fair?

They had import issues. I don't know who is distributing them in the US, so I don't know who you would go to for service or parts.

I am pretty sure that gun is a Fausti. The O/U's are highly sought after because they are Zoli's.

No clue as to the reliability or value.

Lion Country sells very basic Ugartechea SxS (Spain) that look really nice.

I paid 1050.00 for one very recently with some minor dings on the stock, and with the barrels looking near perfect. I love the little gun and, it points and shoots as well as anything; really better. It just goes right up, and boom, it's on target. Another plus is the wood is fancy looking. That's the real reason I bought it. The folks at Fausti (the right barrel is stamped "Fausti Stefano") will work on it and have chokes as well. They are super nice folks. I haven't needed any work though. I feel like I got a super deal.
