Remington 870 LW Special 20 gauge.....

Post by Sylvan001 » Tue Oct 19, 2010 7:10 pm

I just purchased a used one at a local gun shop. I love the feel of this gun I wanted a lighter gun for pheasant hunting and read some good reviews. Does anyone have anything good or bad about this gun? Can't wait to shoot it. Thanks Gregg

The 870 is bullet proof as long as you give it minimal care. It will rust. EZ-Ox is the best rust preventive available. Wipe it down Inside and out, including the magazine tube. Learn how to remove and clean the trigger group/fire control.

I have had no luck shooting the special field Remingtons. Too light and whippy. But, I'm used to target guns.

hunting again after about a ten year absence. Wanted a smaller and lighter shot gun for long hard pheasant hunts. My buds think I should of went with a 12 gauge. But as I stated I loved this gun at first site.Gregg
