New gun

Post by eastwash » Tue Dec 29, 2009 5:04 pm

After hunting quail Sunday with my Winchester 1300 12 ga, I came to a decision and today I just ordered the Weatherby Orion Upland O/U from CDNN, 20 ga 26" barrels made by SKB.
2 year old Lew and new gun, life is good today. If only hunting season didn't close down so soon.

I do see now that Fausti has taken over on the Weatherbys O/U. My understanding was that SKB made the Orion Uplands and that these guns at CDNN were the closeouts of the SKB's.
Anyone purchased one of these guns from CDNN recently and if so what was the maker. Either way nice gun for the price though i would prefer a SKB made gun.

Either way that is a great price and a solid piece, happy shooting!

From the CDNN catalog picture it looks like an SKB, that is a great deal. It wont be hard to tell when you get it.

Has anyone purchased or used a Fausti Volo Deluxe. It is my understanding that this gun is made for Cabelas. I am just wanting some opinions and feedback.

Picked up the the gun Thurs the 7th, and I am very pleased. Wood is nice, fit and finish is good. Makes my old Winchester 1300 feel like an old musket. This is going to be a great field gun for upland. I love the swing on the 26" barrels. Came with modified, improved cylinder and skeet chokes, instead of mod, ic, and full as advertised, but I think that combination will work out better for me anyway.Image

Would do business with CDNN again without hesitation.

Shot 3 boxes through it at the range Sat.,it took some adjustment as it is quite different from my 1300 pump. Very nice gun. Going to be a blast next upland season.
