I want to buy a side by side 20 gauge shotgun for bird hunting. I have looked at a lot of guns. Currently the gun shop I use has a Charles Daly/Miruko 500 used in nice condition; there is really not too much wear on the gun at all. I read some articles which stated that it was made by the same company that makes Browning Citori. My gun guy says that it is exactly like the Browning BSS and a great gun for hunting.
I was also looking at the CZ models. If I were to get a CZ it would be NEW.
Any advice would be great!!!!

Re: DECISION?
While there's nothing wrong with the CZ guns, the Miruko is a much better gun overall.
The Daly 500 is the same basic gun as the Browning BSS; Miruko made the guns for both Daly and Browning. They also make the Citori for Browning as well. The Daly guns tend to be a bit lighter than the Brownings, as the Daly guns had fixed chokes so less metal was needed in the barrels.
If you are looking for a collector, the Browning will have higher resale value due to name recognition. But as a shooter, the Daly is the real steal.
