I've got a 2087 I bought off a guy and like it for ducks and bigger birds, but found it too heavy to carry on quail hunts. I do. however, believe that the 2087 is more a sporting clays gun than a field gun, wish I had know that before I bought it, I love the gun though.

I use either a Lanber 2087 12ga, or most often a 20ga Yildiz o/u. A lot of my shooting is done during training on live birds, and although we use horses, I still like a real light gun for hardwood bottoms and tight pine trees, where the shots are fast and close. I prefer the Lanber to the Yildiz fit and finish wise 100%, but for a field gun I like the Yildiz because I can lay it in the dirt or bang it against a tree and really not worry about it too much. I also like the lightness and shell size (20ga) for the game and conditions where I hunt.
