Kimber Rifles
I'm thinking about getting myself a new rifle for Christmas. I'm considering a Kimber Model 8400 in .270 win. Does anyone have any experience with these rifles?

Re: Kimber Rifles
If it is a Kimber, it will be a very good one.

Re: Kimber Rifles
Kimber are very nice.
Might consider a Cooper was well. I lust after a Western Classic in 260 Remington or maybe 280 Ackley Improved.
If you want to go whole hog, contact Jim Borden at http://www.bordenrifles.com/ and have him build you a rifle on one of his custom actions. There are probably some as good, but there are none better.

Re: Kimber Rifles
I have a Kimber 84M Classic, 7mm08, It's a very light rifle, I'm recoil sensitive so I had it Magna Ported. Very Nice!

Re: Kimber Rifles
I've shot three Kimber Montanas and all three shot very acceptably. One was a friend's. That prompted me to purchase one of my own. Mine prompted me to purchase one for my brother.
No dissapointments so far and I'm pretty difficult to please when it comes to rifles.
