Have you tried contacting Weatherby? ..."pear"

Concur that in a case such as this go directly to the source. You may end up having to ship them the gun to have them fit the new bolt to the gun or they may reccommend a smith for such work.

What a tool,I see you've got a goofy uncle in your family too.I've got an uncle like that too, spoiled rotten momma's boy, lived at the home place until he was 40+ rent free with his family, then built a house on 40 acres that my grandparents gave him, inherited all of my grandads tools, tractors, trucks and farm equipment PLUS all my grandpas guns including..............wait for it...................30.06 model 70 winchester with a serial number of.............wait for it ............759,was my great grandmothers rifle, shot maybe 30 rounds in it's entire life it's mint condition, bought brand new the year they came out.Suppose that ones worth anything?

The only thing my mom got was changing my grandparents diapers and phone calls in the middle of the night to haul them to the hospital. My great grandfather gave her 2 acres and my grandmother pitched a huge snit over it.

Before I spent the 400$ I'd get someone to corner the "Uncle" and figure out what's what.
