Well I can help you with that cause my son, now 26, pulled the pin out of mine when he was about 5 and I couldn't use it for probably 15 years. Then I found Numrich Arms, which is www.e-gunparts.com/ on the Internet, where you can order just about any gun part you want. You will have to identify your gun pretty carefully, as I recall there were modifications over a series of years.
Nowdays you can buy an orange rubber thingy from www.lcsupply.com that goes over the end of the barrel and prevents the pin from coming all the way out and getting lost. Worth it for the couple of bucks it costs.

The short answer is no, I do not have any Spot pups right now. The only female I own is his sister, I am trying to breed her right now, have a stud picked out, but she is not cooperating by going into heat. My hope is that would give me some candidates to breed back to Spot.
Spot was bred twice about 2 or 3 years ago. One litter was a hunter's dam, the other was a dog out of Saddle that was a nice gun dog. Three pups from the Saddle female were started in trialing. One finished at 2 years of age last spring. Spot has not been bred since then until just recently. He has been on the circuit almost full time, and although there have been requests, it has just not been possible for the owners to catch up with him at the right time. He and Eldon move around a great deal, and I don't want to take him off the circuit. Having too much fun. Since the NC though, there have been a number of requests. He was just bred to Jean Holzer's dog in AZ, Willow, the dog that took second in the Am. at Eureka. I would guess there will be more this spring and summer.
I am trying to follow in the footsteps of many who went before. Dan DiMambro is also on this board, had Blue, one of Spot's grand sires. Your Spotter was a great grand sire and there is another Big Oaks dog way back, Big Oaks Lady Blue I would imagine you had something to do with. Spot is very much a product of the breeding that went on in that Illinois/Eastern Wisconsin area over the last 20 years, there are Struebing dogs, Vicari dogs, Sienkowski dogs, with a little Iowa (Merkel's Luke dog) and a fair amount of Arkansas and Louisiana sprinkled in there (Rusty).
We could walk through his ped and write a whole history on midwest trialing. My hats off to you guys that did the hard work.
