franchi veloce

Post by jbraun » Mon Jan 28, 2008 8:11 pm

Local shop has a Franchi Veloce in 20 ga with 26 in barrells on consignment for a little over $900. Very nice looking gun looks to be in great shape. I have a field grade alcione in 12 ga with 26's and like it. Anyone have any experience with the Veloce, its such a pretty gun I would probably have to limit it to preserve hunts.

Grant, the site owner has one. It's very nice.

I'm a confirmed Beretta addict, but I could get one with 28's, or better yet, 30's I'd have one in a heart beat.

I've got one, 20ga 26". It's a NICE gun.

If you want longer barrels, just look for extended choke tubes. You won't be able to put 4 inches on, but you'll get a little extra length.

I use mine for everything - hunting, training, sporting clays. I won't have a gun to just look at. $900 is a good price, too, considering what they sold for just a few years ago (before the Renaissance came out). I don't think you could go wrong, but throw it up before you decide to slap the cash down. Make sure it fits you and it feels good on your shoulder.
