I was in my local gun shop tonight and I saw that he had in a CZ Mallard. I looked at the gun, it was nice looking (better than a stoeger I have) good price I think $549. We got talking and he said that they do not recomend that steel be shot in the mallard, But that the redhead could shoot steel in them. Has any body else heard this? Seems odd to call a shotgun a mallard and you can't shoot steel in them

That's a nice looking gun. I don't see anywhere on the webpage that says that, though. Here is a link..maybe you should call or email them to see....I can't imagine a modern/new manufacture shotgun that you can't shoot steel through.
