Lanber o/u

Post by jascolt » Sat Jun 21, 2008 1:32 pm

I am looking for lighter 20g o/u and looked at older post and saw Lanber shotguns mentioned. I downloaded CDNN's catalog as stated in one post but they do not have a Lanber listed in the catalog. Have they quit selling them? Is this gun worth pursuing and if so where can it be purchased?
Thanks,
Jason

I'd go to shotgunworld.com and look around.
Here's the link for the "I Love My Lanber" section.

The distributor in the US is called Camfour Inc. They can get one to your local shop for you to look at. I have 4 Lanber o/u's and love them. Two of them have a few thousand rounds and they have been flawless. I think they are absolutely the best buy (along with Veronas) for an o/u under about $1,800.

gardog what model would you suggest. I want 20g, 28 barrels w/ ejectors and preferr it to be light also w/ interchanging chokes.

I could have afforded about any gun within reason, and was all set to get a Beretta SP 687 Sporting and stumbled on the Lanber. My FFL went nuts when he saw it after it was shipped in, and ordered 10 for himself, then I picked up 2 more for my kids. (these were the 2097 sporting). Then I got a 4th used because it had 30in barrels and adjustable comb and all this other work. I think they are a hoot.

For the poster, the 20s are available for the first time - it is the 2067 field model, with 28in barrels. It comes with 3 chokes, the sporting 12s come with 5. You can get aftermarket chokes from Trulock.
