Any significant difference between the two. Preferences? Looking at 20ga.

It is which one fits you and snaps into position for you
I had the cynergy..couldn't hit the broad side of the barn but the lightning I did much better with
just got the CZ woodcock and it even feels better
Maybe get both never heard of having to many guns

One is a Target gun, the other a Field Model. 28" 20 gauge Field looks like 3 ounces lighter, 6.3 compared to 6.9.
Trigger system. The White Lighting I'm sure has Inertia Weight Triggers (second shot won't fire until first). When releasing your triggers with snap caps, you would have to slap the butt of the gun to get the second trigger to release, unlike Mechanical Triggers. I never had a problem with Inertia Weight, and I have dropped 12 down to 20 with tubes and they still work fine. I have heard some have run into problems with Inertia Weight when sub gauging down to 410, and may have to send the gun to a Smith for some adjustments. That would never be a problem w/ Mechanical Triggers.

Ejectors are another difference. I pop my shells right into my hand and to the back of my vest. Maybe some like to see how far they travel, and apparently the Cynergy has beefed up springs for stronger ejection. Nice thing about O/U's, no picking up your empties, and ejectors on Citori's are fine. I really don't see the need for beefed up springs.
"The impact ejectors are powered by two massive springs mounted on the sides of the barrels. This approach eliminates the wimpy ejection experienced on some O/U models. These automatic, selective ejectors are positive and work superbly."

Looking at the larger images of both guns, the Cynery has the top-rib and mid-rib (between the barrels), where the Citori does not have the mid-rib.
