Looks like a super nice gun, a sweet o/u killing machine. Looks sweet, and expensive.

Are you sure you want to descibe it as a "killing machine"? Not exactly what I think a gun is or is even what it was made for. Would be hard to argue with the gun control people when they want to get rid of your killing machine.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Well I'm not going to change what I said. Anyways has anyone shot this gun before?? I see that the gun is a new product out for 2008. Has anyone got their hands on it, besides Ezzy.ezzy333 wrote:Are you sure you want to descibe it as a "killing machine"? Not exactly what I think a gun is or is even what it was made for. From what I hear these are not generally available quite yet. It is on my list to check out next time I am at the Beretta Gallery in Manhattan, which is about 20 blocks north of where I work.
Here it was discussed on SGW:

Calling one of our sporting guns a "killing machine" has nothing to do with PC but rather in accuracy and using common sense. As far as the gun control people go...................once they've forced PC on me or anybody else and we've bent to it.........they've already won.
However, I would not want to be defending our rights to own a sporting gun and have the opposition play a tape for the jury to hear of me calling a gun a "killing machine". Does that make sense?
And I also thank SouthDakotaBound for the apoligy he sent a couple of days ago. I think it shows something when a person realizes they may have made a mistake and can admit it.

So it's not accurate to call a gun a killing machine? Hmm...ezzy333 wrote:Calling one of our sporting guns a "killing machine" has nothing to do with PC but rather in accuracy and using common sense.
Ezzy, I understand where you're coming from, but come on...this is the "Guns & Ammo" section of a hunting dog forum.
Perhaps he could've termed it "bird killing machine"...is that still too offensive?
There are much bigger battles to fight out there than someone asking about a new O/U shotgun IMO.
SDB - the Perennia looks like a nice gun. Haven't gotten my hands on one yet, tho.
That's one more purchase I really don't need to make - I spend enough on hunting the way it is Hah!

I don't see a thing wrong with calling it whatever you want in our "Killing Machine % Ammo" section. Nope, not a thing wrong with it.Ezzy, I understand where you're coming from, but come on...this is the "Guns & Ammo" section of a hunting dog forum.

I'm not flaming anyone but just making fum of your post. Just pointing out why it isn't a good description of a sporting gun or any gun as far as that goes. You didn't use it in your post and I doubt if anyone would or should.
South Dakota and I have already come to an terms a long ago as I think we both agreed.
OK I'm chilled

Heck, I don't think the Senate or Brady Campaign is going to submit this obscure section of an obscure forum as evidence in a gun ban hearing
The reality is we kill animals for sport that puts food on the table. There are kill machines at slaughterhouses too. People like to sugarcoat it and say "harvest."
The hunt, the kill, and the consumption are all exciting things. I don't apologize for taking the moral accountability for killing and eating my own food sometimes. From the seas to the mountains there is a life and death cycle and we are all a part of it.
Would I refer to a new shotgun as a killing machine in a cafe at lunch in Manhattan? Probably not. Would I on gundogforum or shotgunworld? Maybe.
Again, I will not be an apologist for participating in a human tradition, taking and eating animals that God put here for us. If he didn't intend for us to kill and eat, he wouldn't have made these birds breed every year and have a lifespan of a year or two.
