Today I saw a ?French Partridge dog?

Guy was walking a road ditch for "ditch parrots" (cracks me up) and I said oh you have a small Munsterlander. He replied no close but it's a, all I remember is, partridge!
10 minutes later I saw a conservation officer talking to a man with a dog. As I drove towards them the hunter left. I stopped to chat and said you are a ParkRanger ,out of his park. He laughed and said I am a C.O. and I like to get out to the fields to see what is going on-which I believe meant he was looking for a spot to hunt because he asked me where I was finding birds at. He said that guy is from Alaska and has a super wire haired pointer. I said heck I might know him and drove up to the guy who wasn't who I thought it was. Dog had no dressings so I asked if it was a shorthair. I got a brief history of the wire hair.
