Hutch's Motel

Post by ddoyle » Sat Jul 18, 2020 12:25 pm

I have read on a few websites that if your going to SD and doing a hunt for yourself this is the ideal place to basecamp. Reasonable, very clean and good food. Now their websites are down....anyone know what happened?

I looked at them on fb. There is a phone# that I called. Message was for a reply text to different #.
You may try that.

Website is still down and they don't return calls from their main number. Not a good sign. Never stayed there but I am looking for a place. I might stop in and find out what is going on when I get up there this year but will probably stay somewhere else until I determine if it's temporary or permanent.

I also left a message with chamber,no reply.

That may have been a motel bought up by Ca. investor who didn't have a real plan. He bought many here on cfd.

I stayed in a KOA cabin at Kennabeck. Worked for me. Ck that out. That was early season and they were getting ready to close for the winter.

Last year we tried to stay at a campground but second week of season end of October they got 10" of snow so we scrambled for a hotel. Have stayed at both motels I mentioned earlier both no frills but clean!
