Planning a Fall hunt
Planning a Fall hunt
Would like to plan a hunt this September. I would like to be able to hunt a variety of kinds of birds. Can anyone get me started on what states have early bird seasons on a variety of birds and a lot of public access?

Kansas has a wide variety of birds and a lot of public land in the western part of the state.. But you'll only be able to hunt dove in September.

Idaho's forest grouse(ruff, dusky and spruce) season starts Aug. 30, mourning dove Sept. 1, Chukars, huns, quail and sage grouse Sept. 15th and Sharptails Oct 1.
