Yup - the big goose egg. 4 hours, 3 different dogs - nada.

Tons of rabbits. We were discussing at dinner if the rabbits might push out the birds or "overgraze" the green up. ????

Man, I always look forward to your pics, but I must say...I thought you were the luckiest guy ever. Chukar hunt all the time, great dogs, and always have birds. jk

Hey guys...He is human. Welcome to the club. HA! What a great post Doug. lol

OK, we're back in the game. Real fun the last couple days with plenty of action. I did get into a pretty crazy firefight with a covey of quail that I, rumor has it, at best, shot 1 for 8. I'm not to sure about that - probably one of those "fog of war" deals where in the excitement a couple shots sounded like...8...or more.

Got the 8qt. stew pot to the brim right now bubbling away with the goods. Mmmmmm!

Too bad Brenda on the Texas trip...hope they found a few at least. Haven't heard too many good reports from down that way this year.

I hate to admit it, but I go out expecting to get skunked. If I do find some birds it's like a nice surprise. I've even began to call my "hunts" nature walks with the dog.
