Riley's First Hunt

Post by scsims » Mon Jan 19, 2015 4:41 pm

Well not really I hunted him several times but we haven't came across a wild bird yet.

Yesterday we did a preserve hunt, we had 40 quail released in a large millet field with strips cut though it. He pointed lots of birds and found the downed birds when we couldn't. He point his first pheasant that the party before us must have missed.... We missed it too☺️

We ended up killing 30 and the flushed the others at least once.

It was a great time!

I was filming and the bird flushed on my side and I dropped my phone to try a shot.

That looks and sound like a good time. Thanks for sharing.
I'd rather live on the side of a mountain, than wander through canyons of concrete and steel.
