Looks like you had quite the day. What state? I will always take a rabbit if I can. No finer meat to simmer all day in spaghetti sauce than rabbit

They were killed in Upstate New York. My dog is great on grouse and when he flushes a rabbit I will take them given the opportunity. Grouse are great eating in my opinion.

The snow wasn't to bad. Only about 4 or 5" of snow. The birds seemed to hold a little longer though. Grouse hunting definitely isn't like the tame birds on TV. No matter what anyone says, in order to be successful in the grouse woods it pays to have an experienced dog because grouse won't sit long once your dog goes on point especially when they are eye to eye. Just my two cents so take it for what its worth.
