Pheasant hunting near Ft.Drum,NY

Does anyone know of a good place to take my dog Pheasant hunting near Ft.Drum,NY? I know Brownsville,Lowville, and Clayton. Please let me know. I would like to get my setter on some Pheasants..

I know this is Off Topic, but, I used to be stationed up there from 1984-1989 in the 10th MTN Div. The Grouse hunting back then was phenomenal. How's the Grouse hunting up there these days?

Mumpy, the grouse hunting is still phenomenal. We have 15" of snow right now so I am super depressed that Pete (my Llewellyn) and i can't get out and hunt them.. Hoping for a warm day to melt this so we can get after them a few more times..

Mumpy, my dog and I went on post Sunday and killed two grouse and a snowshoe hare. The snow has about 15" so u could imagine the walking. Lots of birds though..
