Deer Hunting

Does anyone use their dog to track deer? I have a GSP and was wondering what success anyone had with deer hunting and how to train your dog for that specific task...

Last I checked, its not legal where you live. Are you gonna travel?

In illinois it is legal to track a wounded or dead deer with a dog but it is not legal to hunt with them. I have never used my dog to track a deer but we did use a friends DD before. He got on the trail but never found the deer.
