Looking to load up the dogs and make a hunt, willing to pay a reasonable trespass fee for a place with lots of birds, anyone have a suggested destination west of the Mississippi ?

West Texas. South Texas if you aren't afraid of snakes.

Don't think the bird numbers there have recovered, certainly not travelling all that way without a specific destination/location in mind as knocking on doors has never been an effective way of finding a hunting spot in TX.

Don't know any places for you but can definably tell you the birds are coming back in west texas, hasn't been a day I haven't seen two coveys of at least 6 when I'm there
