Just returned from the Carson, ND area last week. Bird numbers are down in the SW part of the state due to the huge snowstorm in early October. Most of the corn and sunflowers were still standing as it was too wet to get them out of the fields. Definitely made it tough to find the birds in the grass, but I limited every day on phez. I was on private ground so that helped. Other guys I ran into during the week said the numbers were down, but they did find some. I got into sharptails several days, but you better have full choke this time of year. :) I believe the Sharpies were held up in the corn, so once the harvest is over it will help the hunter. Never saw any huns! Was told by several local guides that the storm took most of them out... :(

I had a great trip and saw a good number of pheasants! :D :D

Good Luck!
