It's a little early to tell yet for prospective areas for next year. The areas that had quail this year is where I would start looking for next year.

Normally most parts of KS have quail but after an extremely hot and dry year the populations are reduced. Usually, NE, SE, and North Central are the best but it will all depend on weather this spring and summer and that will determine the hatching and brooding. The quail will rebound faster than the pheasants. Start checking after the first of August and by that time we should know how things are going.
