I know the season is over for most of us, but I would like to see some last day pictures you hunted from this season, you may not of limited out or even shot a bird, and remember next years season is just a summer away.
Mine ended great for me I only had a couple of hours to hunt before heading home. I hunted a 80 acre CRP field with both dogs out. They pointed several hens then finally Mandy pointed a rooster. I got the rooster knocked down, and a few minutes later Suzi had a couple of roosters pinned down, I missed the first one, but managed to hit the 2nd. I had hunted about 45 minutes and thought to myself, this is as good as it gets both dogs a rooster a piece, time to head home. It was a great season, got to hunt 22 days and had fun everytime.
Let's hear your stories.

Re: Last day of the season pictures.
This is how my season ended, just me and my best girl Jill we went out not intending for it to be our last day out but it was due to work but we walked all day went to 4 different spots on the ride home bird less at that point i passed a beautiful field cattail sloughs nice wide strips of CRP along cut corn with a shelter belt on one side and even a hedge row, so we stopped and were just looking at it through the window when and older gentlemen pulled up and asked how we were doing and commented on how pretty my brush pig is and asked if she was functional or just fashionable (turned out he was a pointer/setter guy in his day hahaha) and asked if we had got any birds yet and then offered to let us hunt his field if he could come along so i replied with a big yes and a grin so we set out and had one productive point after lot's of relocating 2 roosters rose 2 roosters hit the ground and 2 beautiful retrieves ! he was so pleased he invited me over to his place anytime to hunt or BS as long as i bring my pretty little brush pig with me

I am lucky to have really long season here in Alaska, in most areas I hunt it goes to the end of March and if snow conditions allow I have several more weekends. Maybe this should be a brag post
Hope you wont consider it thread poaching.
I set the Superbowl to be recorded and headed to the hills Sunday. Ember got her first ever double retrieve, I was lucky enough to get a scotch double..... the second bird I would consider a "warm" blind retrieve. Here is the end of the day....

Well this had been my worst season ever, it has been a combination of extreme bad weather, a Broken Ankle and some very poor shooting
My last day was no different, first of all Fern flushed 2 Foxes which i should have taken 1 but never even got a shot off,

then i missed 3 easy Pheasants
, i then moved on to another farm where all the geese were on land where i dont have permission to shoot

and i missed a couple of fast moving Ducks.
At least Fern worked very well and is much more reliable than myself.
The only bird taken was a slow one that Fern pegged in thick cover

Well enough of my whining, but like a true sportsman I BLAME MY BAD ANKLE
