Tuf Foot

Post by Chocolate Head » Fri Nov 06, 2009 8:55 am

I'm getting myself and my Britt ready for our annual pilgramage to KS. This year I plan to loose the boots and do Tuf Foot. How do you apply it, with rag or just pour it on?

I usually just pour a little bit on each pad. It soaks in and dries up pretty quickly.

Saturated cotton balls and rub it on or I've put it in a butter dish and set their foot down in it. Both pretty easy.

I used to use it, now I dont. I really didnt see much difference.

I just check feet and treat with bag balm if a problem develops, but rarely do they.....
Had a couple slightly raw pads on my Dakota trip (7weeks).....bag balm and back hunting
in the am...no issues.

Your inquiries prompted me to do a little research since my dogs also need foot care (now) and found another one that is call MUSHER'S SECRET. From the reviewS, it seemed to be a very good product. It could almost replace the doggy boots. Perhaps someone on this board has positive experience using this product. I will be getting some Mushers's Secret to try. Take care.

As I know it - from mushers - Musher's Secret is NOT for protecting pads from rough ground, rather will moisturize and more importantly, minimizes accumulation of snow between toes/pads, etc.
