I do but not with my dogs....my friends have squirrel dogs and other hounds....Mosty terrier or a cur dog is what they use.

as a boy I used to hunt squirrels every chance I got during the season.....Never used a dog, but I know a lot of southerners use Feists to hunt them with. I don't see why a good versatile euro dog couldn't be used for that purpose.

When I was a kid my uncle had a springer that we killed a ton of squirrels over, she would tree and when the squirrel would timber she would follow and keep track of them. We had a great time with that dog.

Hunted them alot when I was younger. Got after them again this year, it sure was easier this time too. I've shot 14 out of one tree in my front yard using .22 sub-sonics. Neighbors don't even notice. :o

Darn eastern Okies with your squirrels and trees and water. :D I used to love squirrel hunting growing up in Louisiana and going to Missouri to visit family. Not many squirrels out here in the panhandle though.

Yeah, but you have quail and pheasant! I would trade any day (quail are a lot easier to clean)!

How about we trade some of my quail/pheasant stew for some squirrel and dumplings. Man I miss squirrel and dumplings. Now food don't get any better than that. :D

used to shoot them with a pellet gun- sometimes with bow and arrow

never with a gun dog- I'm not looking for "head crank"

Heck I couldn't even get the back legs nailed to an oak tree in 60 seconds....Squirrels were always the toughest hided things I ever cleaned....Can you tell me your secret to speedy skinning?
