I couldn't get out this year as much as I wanted due to work, but had good luck every time I went out.
I have a feeling that with the weather we are having this will be a nice wet spring, and next season will be superb for chukar...

what happened to your dog's leg?

rocks sage brush and crusty snow just rips your dogs to shreds. thats why I have three in my kennel. so I always have a fresh set of legs.

that is something i am not used to yet. the worst my dog has seen is a few barbed wire cuts and i still felt bad for her. guess it comes with the territory.

I don't remember the exact number now, but at the Pheasant's Forever Banquet in Ontario Ore., they said that the Chukar's were way down. Seem's that it might of been around 70%. I think part of it was due to late snow.

I spoke with him and hopefully will get him down here to a trial or two.
You know them longtailed guys don't believe that a shortailed dog can whipp up on them. Heck even when you get it done they have an excuse as to why.

Doug you need to hook up with Chukarorbust (Ryan Baumann) & show him some GSPS,he says there are no good Shorthairs in his part of the country.
Yikes, not sure you want my hounds out there being the GSP ambassadors!! We're all about making people feel better about their own dogs!!

GSP's off horseback!? Ha, that's a goodun...they'd get stepped on wouldn't they??
