First Phez Hunt! Meade KS!

I'm leaving this Tuesday to go hunt pheasant in Meade, KS with a buddy and our 3 GSPs! Any tips/advice?

The birds are there, also keep your eyes open for prairie chicken.

First time we went hunting there was about 5 years ago and we did the old swinging gate over a huge field. I almost stepped on a praire chicken, pulled up on it and did'nt fire, heck I did'nt know what it was. Kansas guys we were hunting with said I missed a shot of a life time. I guess they are hard to get close to! So my advice, learn what a chicken looks like just in case!
