My dog Gunner took 4th in the 26-dog OLGD stake at the MN Brittany Club trial at Crow-Hassan this past weekend.

He's a young dog and is coming along.

Best regards, Greg J.

Hey Greg, that is great. I was there but never saw Gunner run. See you in a couple of weeks.

Hi John,

I think he was in the 3rd brace. He was in the 6th in the OGD.

I'm looking forward to coming up and meeting the Minn-e-snow-ta crowd.

Best regards, Greg

Greg

Nice job by Gunner! See you up here in a couple of weeks.

Even though I just have an entry in the AGD I might pull the camper out there and enjoy the Saturday night festivities.

Go ahead, laugh while you can. Did I ever tell you about the American Field trial we had here in about 1986 or 87, around the first part of May, when we got 5" in about two hours. Had horses going down in the trailers just from the shock of it. We all hung it up and retired to the local bar.

That is 5" of SNOW, and that time of the year, it is always the heavy wet stuff.

So you just go ahead, laugh while you can. Too late to refund the plane ticket.

Thank you and all for the kind words. I wish I could take credit for his progress (not that a 4th is setting the world on fire). But about all I do these days is try not to set him back when he's home.

Although I'm happy with his development, I often think Gunner would be further along now if he had been developed for AKC FTs from the start vice NSTRA. That's why he sometimes comes off the lines and hunts the fields...because that's where the birds were in his early development.

Best regards, Greg J.

Good Job

Greg,

Nice job as well. I'm going to try and get to the Mn GSPC trial to watch some of the dogs run and maybe learn a few things.

More of the same that we saw last Fall, I think. Knocking on the door.

I think the big change is that he can be run in both OGD and OLGD now.

So, he has twice as many chances to learn that if he misbehaves, he gets put on the rope and roaded in behind the gallery. Man, he hates that.

Best regards, Greg J.

Yea, that just crushes them when you hook 'em up and put 'em up without saying a word and ohhhh, to have to FOLLOW everyone in! The dog equivalent of being de-moted!

Greg,

I remembered you said something about a trial this month you and John are going to attend at Crow-Hassan. This is practically in my back yard, might be nice to stop in and say hi. What are the dates and what entrance to the park are they going to use?
